The short version
The calculator shows an estimate of where last year's dollars went, built from the numbers you enter. It is not tax, legal, financial or accounting advice, not a tax return, and not a forecast.
What the service is
An educational picture of your business's past year: the money entering Basecamp, what is left after operations and cost of goods, after taxes, and after household spending. It reads the tax you tell it you paid. It does not compute tax, and it does not recommend an entity, a salary or a strategy. It does not promise any saving or result.
Your figures
The result is only as good as what you enter. Rough numbers give rough results, and ranges are shown as ranges. You are responsible for what you enter and for any decision you make from the result. Talk to a qualified tax professional who knows your situation before acting on it.
The next-step suggestions
Links to a Survey call, the ClearPath Mapper or the Tax Strategy Network are invitations, not recommendations specific to your tax situation. Any offer, price or guarantee is described only on the page of that offer, and its terms apply there.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is.” We make no guarantee that it is complete, accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Online Tax Solutions Group LLC (dba Tax Sherpa) is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from your use of the calculator, including decisions made from its result. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose (nothing, as the calculator is free).
Changes
We may change or withdraw the calculator, or update these Terms, at any time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision.
Governing law
Governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
